Juvenile Court

The Juvenile Court Judge is appointed by the Chief Superior Court Judge.  The Juvenile Court Judge is William Schneider.


Mission Statement

The Rockdale County Juvenile Court has as its mission to provide judicial decisions, safety, support, and guidance services to children and families who come into contact with the court so they can become productive members of our community.

 

 

Rockdale County's Juvenile Court has jurisdiction over all children under 17 who are alleged to be:

  • Deprived (abused, neglected, abandoned, molested, etc.);
  • Delinquent (ages 7 to 16 depending on child's maturity);
  • Unruly, runaway, truant, ungovernable or beyond parental control; or
  • Commit a moving traffic violation.
