Mentoring Program

Youth identified by the Court as at-risk are matched with an adult role model from the community to provide guidance and one-on-one support and encouragement outside of school hours.  The program also plans monthly group activities to give mentors and youth additional opportunities to interact in a positive setting with others who share similar life experiences.

This program was initially funded by a grant from the Governor's Children and Youth Coordinating Council (CYCC). Annual funding has now been assumed by Rockdale County.

The coordinator of this program is Sharon Sullivan, who can be reached at 678-763-3324 or by email at  To apply to be a mentor or for information on the Mentoring Program, visit the Rockdale County Juvenile Court Mentoring Program Web site, at
