The Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful (KCRB) Advisory Council is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of litter prevention, beautification, waste minimization, and the benefits of improved livability. Ultimately, the Council works to foster personal responsibility in all who live and work in the city of Conyers and Rockdale County to keep our community clean.
Several times a year KCRB, in collaboration with partners such as Rockdale County, private companies, non-profits, and the City of Conyers, organize county-wide cleanup events including paper and electronics recycling drives, the Great American Cleanup in the spring, Rivers Alive in the fall, and Bring One for the Chipper in the winter.
All of these events are highly anticipated in our community for those who want to give back through a day of volunteer service or simply bring items to recycle.
Because of these types of events, litter along streams, in neighborhoods, parks, within County/City rights of way, in parking lots and other public areas are diminished. KCRB not only removes a great deal of debris, but with the help of hundreds of volunteers in a typical year, the public learns why it is important to prevent litter in the first place.
Please make an effort to stay informed about KCRB’s efforts. Information is often advertised on Rockdale 23, the county’s public access channel, here on this website, through flyers, and in local media.
