The Rockdale County Tax Commissioner's Office offers property information in a searchable database at: www.rockdaletaxbills.com.
The Tax Commissioner's Office makes every effort to insure the timeliness and accuracy of the information in the database. Payments, new charges and bills are posted with an average delay of 12 to 24 hours. For additional bill inquiries or questions not answered by the database, contact Lori Anderson at 770-278-7619 or by email at email@example.com.
Property Tax Bills are mailed in mid-August of each year to the property owner who owned the property as of January 1 of that year. If you purchased the property after January 1, you will need to contact the Tax Commissioner's Office for a duplicate. Remember, failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility to pay the tax by the due date. The Tax Commissioner's Office does not mail tax bills to mortgage companies. The tax bill due date is November 15. Interest will accrue after November 15, at the rate of 1% for reach month or partial month until paid. A penalty of 10% will be assessed after 90 days.
Mobile Home Owners:
Non-homestead mobile home owners must file a return for their mobile home's taxes, pay all taxes due, and purchase a location permit decal between January 1 and May 1 of each year.
Failure to display a location decal can result in a court citation.
