Rockdale County Firefighters

Fire Rescue is a division of the Department of Emergency Services.  The Rockdale County and the city of Conyers' fire departments combined as one department in 1990.  Fire Rescue serves the city and county on an equal basis.

Fire Rescue strives to provide services to the citizens through fire suppression, hazard control, fire prevention, public education and emergency medical services.

The eight County fire stations are staffed with over 100 personnel using eight engines, two ladder trucks, a HazMat truck and a rescue/squad.

Fire Rescue also provides new construction plan review, code enforcement, inspections and investigations.
