Pavement Resurfacing/Reconstruction: Developers are responsible for construction and maintenance of subdivision streets for a period of two years, after this, the county provides for any pavement resurfacing and reconstruction on an as-needed basis. Pavement resurfacing and reconstruction is funded through the local Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG), general funds, and other funding sources. The SPLOST Sales Tax provides for other improvements to roadways such as safety projects, intersection improvements, guardrail installation, and road striping.
