Animal Care & Control

The Animal Care and Control Shelter is a division of the Rockdale County Department of Recreation & Maintenance. Rockdale County and the city of Conyers are served on an equal basis.

The division provides field services, loan of cat traps, and receives unwanted/surplus dogs and cats. The shelter offers pet adoption and serves as a community resource for information regarding animals.

The shelter also serves as a quarantine facility for biting animals, under the direction of the Environmental Health Department.
 

Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Emergency services are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
