The shelter offers some cat-related services. These include:

  • The loan, at no charge, of a "Have-A-Heart" trap, which is a live, humane cat trap to capture stray/nuisance cats or feral (wild) cats from private property. Traps are loaned for two week intervals and must be picked up and returned to the shelter. Additionally, any cats trapped in County traps MUST be brought to the shelter.

  • The housing of unwanted/surplus cats and kittens and adoption of those animals deemed adoptable. The fee for adopting a cat or kitten is $20.00, which includes pre-payment for a required rabies inoculation. Cats adopted from the shelter must be spayed/neutered in accordance with state law.
