Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA):
The Rockdale County Fire Rescue also raises money through annual boot drives for individuals with neuromuscular diseases.  The proceeds go to the MDA to provide services for the individuals at MDA clinics at Emory & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. 

Donations also help fund vital research for cures, as well as help support the local MDA's summer camp for children, which is held in Rutledge, Georgia.

Give Burns the Boot:
The Rockdale County Fire Rescue raises money through annual boot drives for Georgia Firefighter's Burn Foundation.  The foundation is a non-profit organization that follows a three-fold mission:

• To educate the public in burn awareness and prevention,
• To support medical facilities in the care of burn victims in Georgia, and
• To assist burn survivors in their recovery.
