2013 Great American Cleanup

Volunteers Encouraged to Sign Up for 2013 Countywide Day of Service and Cleanup This year’s event will be a joint effort of Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful and Hands Across Rockdale   CONYERS, Ga. – It’s that time again for the highly-anticipated communitywide cleanup. Volunteers are needed to help make this a successful event. Families, individuals, businesses, schools, and other groups are encouraged to sign up now to participate. For the first time ever, Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful (KCRB) and Hands Across Rockdale are joining forces to sponsor the event because of their complimentary mission and goals. This is part of KCRB’s Great American Cleanup initiative for 2013. The event will be on Sat., April 13 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Dr., Conyers, GA, 30094. Registration forms for the cleanup can be found at www.rockdalecounty.org and are due back by Mon., April 8. Registration forms for other service projects tied to Hands Across Rockdale can be found at www.handsacrossrockdale.org. Volunteers for the Great American Cleanup should come to RCA to check in starting at 8 am, pick up their cleaning supplies and further instructions. All cleaning supplies will be provided for free. As a thank you for participating, volunteers will receive a t-shirt and be treated to food afterwards.
